The
Sunday Club runs from 9.25am every Sunday during term time in the
Parish hall. The club is open to all young people.
The Sunday Club is set up so as
to allow the children to have the time to carry out creative projects,
such as the wall of boxes which was demolished on Easter morning
to reveal a large picture of the Risen Christ as shown here.
Amongst the many, many other
activities and creative works of art we have completed, we have also
produced and performed a nativity play (with a difference) at the
Christingle service on Christmas eve, in front of a packed church,
with a donkey called Derrick and with a real baby in the crib. |

Not only does the club give us the
scope for the many varied activates that are carried out each week, the
set up also means that the clergy get to talk properly to the children
every week, this way they have input into the teaching.
We generally enter the church and
join with the rest of the congregation for the peace. We sit together in
our groups; Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul, each group having it's own
banner. On some special occasions we are in church earlier or even for the
whole service. During communion we usually sing one of the many songs or
rounds that we practice in the hall. At the end of the Mass we join the
Choir, servers and clergy in procession to the West end of the church,
carrying our banners high.
